History of Lambda Sigma Tau
Tau Kappa Epsilon
Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) was founded on Tuesday, January 10, 1899 at Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois by C. Roy Atkinson, James C. McNutt, Joseph L. Settles, Owen I. Truitt and Clarence A. Mayer. These five men are the founding fathers of TKE.The University of St. Thomas TEKE chapter was founded in 1970 by Joe Bisanze. They initiated the first pledge class of LSTEKE in the fall of 1976.
Little Sisters of TEKE
The Little Sisters of Tau Kappa Epsilon (LSTEKE) was founded by TEKE in the fall of 1976.
Lambda Sigma Tau
In the fall of 1989, LSTEKE became Lambda Sigma Tau (LST). In 2011, LST became a sorority only serving Saint Catherine University. On January 12, 2012, Lambda Sigma Tau officially became a social/service sorority at St. Catherine University.
